An Humanist/Symbolic wedding celebration can take place anywhere, from a cliff top overlooking the ocean, on one of the Algarve's beaches or even on the grounds of a private villa. This type of ceremony is tailor made to suit you. It may be as formal as a church wedding with the religious element being replaced by readings or texts and music that have real meaning and importance to you or just a very relaxed and informal ceremony.
Couples with children can include them in the ceremony and guests are also invited to participate. No two ceremonies are the same just like no two couples are the same. However, this type of ceremony does not form a marriage contract in the legal sense, being the symbolic union of two people.
